1. Mystic Universe (https://youtu.be/YaHHsurW8f0)

- I was drawn to Mystic Universe because of the neon lighting and the self-moving objects.

- This space allows visitors to observe, change, and immerse in art. From controlling the movement of artistic patterns to having actual people there dressed to fit the environment, it looks as if you feel completely immersed in this fictional world the second you enter it. This environment evokes feelings of wonder.

- It shows stories about the universe, history, science, and whatever your imagination can draw from it.

- I found the contrast between the darkness of the surrounding vs. the brightness fo the actual objects to be intriguing and something I would like to experiment with within my world.

2. The Mori Building Digital Art Museum: Epson Team Lab Borderless

- I was drawn to this experience mostly because I have experienced it in person in Japan

- As soon as you enter the museum you are able to walk through room after room of interactive (projected art, moving objects, lights) rooms that seem to just keep going. This environment evokes wonder, amusement, calmness, and inspiration.

- Each room in this museum tells a different story. One room has a large projected waterfall while another has giant interactive lily pads.

-The element that most inspired me for my world is the lily pads in the lily pad room. That specific room actually slopes downward and plays rain sounds every once and a while. I like the idea of having a part of my work that you can walk through interactive objects on something other than just flat terrain.

  1. Scaled, Nature-based, Bumpy
  2. Good. I feel pretty confident about my project so far, but need to take it to the next level of wackiness. What is working well so far is that I changed the scale of a lot of the objects and that made them more interesting.
  3. It was suggested that I should look at the Worlds Tallest moose for inspiration for my cow, and giant seashell sand sculptures for my beach.
  4. My next steps are building some of my objects in rhino and bringing them into Unity, figuring out how to put water and fish in my beach, and figuring out how to make holes in the terrain without putting a hole through the mesh of the ground.
  5. Fish, different colored trees, and coyotes.
  6. I am hoping to have a full, working, out there model of my neighborhood.
