WHAT DO I DO? WHAT DO I MAKE? HOW CAN THIS BE SOLVED?
Small apartment? Cluttered dorm room? Not a lot of space?
YOU need a good night sleep
And you need room to explore your hobbies (physically, mental)
BUT... you do not have enough room for both
Proposal: What if I can make a folding bed that could go from point A to point B easily and efficiently. Let's just say you do yoga, you also need your sleep. Your bed can easily roll up into a chair giving you room to do yoga. The bed would be comfy, easily rollable, and save room in your apartment.

Precedent
This is a bed that can come down from the ceiling and then go up back into the ceiling when you're done with it
This bed can turn into something like a cabinet, it's good for storage and help clutter
PROS
Easy to make
easy to fold
simple
CONS
Not 3D enough
hard to stay in roll
PROTOTYPE #1
PROTOTYPE 1.5
SKETCH #2
I decided to go back to the drawing board at this point in time and decided instead of making a rolling mechanism to try to make a folding mechanism
Prototype 2
Pros
Looks more like a chair
Easier to use
Cons
Messed up first laser cut
Rubber band hinges = not rellient
PROTOTYPE 2
Once again.... I change my idea, instead of folding up now my new design will fold down to make the chair sturdier
PROTOTYPE #3
PROTOTYPE #3
1- Bed form
2- The second base folds up with the second core part
3- now the new piece is pushed down making a leg for the chair
Rhino
Unfortunately, I was unable to print my final laser-cut, although I had it all done Rhino so I made sure to screenshot that file
CORE 1
CORE 2
BASE 1
BASE 2
This was made so that the core could only move the way I wanted it to move
I would make two of each of these and then the things that were unlabeled would be where the mattress would set
